Steel Fabrication
What is steel fabrication? It is the process of cutting, bending and shaping steel alloy in order to create a desired product. This process is not like welding which repairs or strengthens items. Steel fabrication takes pieces of metal and attaches them together. This will form a predefined shape and size.
This procedure requires a skilled technician who is experienced in taking natural components and converting them into customer wanted pieces. Due to the fact that this process offers little room for error, you can be assured that we only have the best fabricating team at Bill’s Custom Fab. Our team can create steel fabricated vehicular parts as well as household appliances
The Machinist
A machinist in the steel fabrication industry must be able to gauge the original shape of the raw material. This may be material that is in the form of a flat plate, pre-shaped channels, pipes, or various other forms. Consequently, the suitable development of the fabricating may then be completed using whichever of the following processes is applicable:
- Heat
- Pressure
- Electricity
Much of this hot, labor-intensive work is completed through the raw material approach for steel cutting and welding. A small portion occurs through the faster method of Electric Arc Furnace (AEF). Both procedures first melt down the metals using very high temperatures.
